Saudi Arabia Is Allowing Women To Stay In Hotels Without A Male Guardian

Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) announced that women and foreigners will be allowed to stay in hotels. All women, including Saudis, can book and stay in hotels alone, providing ID on check-in. As for the foreigners they will be allowed to book and stay in hotels without providing proof of relationship. This came in coincdince with launching the Saudi Truism visa last month which allows citizens of 49 countries to obtain a tourist visa on arrival within 7 minutes,

Women must provide the original (ID, or family register, or visa can for non-Saudis) while expat women must provide the original passport, according to SCTH  regulations that allow Saudi women and foreigners to stay in tourism facilities

SCTH asked hotels not to provide accommodation to women without ID, unless they are accompanied by a male relative, whose data must be registered. This is not required for foreigners who are accompanied with their families

The tourist visa applied by Saudi Arabia will be available to citizens of 38 countries from Europe in addition to the Sultanate of Brunei, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Kazakhstan and China, and two countries from North America, the United States and Canada, in addition to Australia and New Zealand

Accommodation will not be provided to any woman without presenting A valid ID
