Sheffield United is one of the oldest football clubs in the world, in fact, one their official website they call themselves the world’s first football club.

The club has two owners each who have a 50% stake. One of the owners is Saudi royalty, Prince Abdullah bin Musa’ad bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who also serves as a chairman of the club.

Back home in Saudi, Prince Abdullah owns a significant stake in the SPMC Group

Now, Sheffield United have made it to the English Premier League and will be playing the league for 2019-20 season.

The team has a very good manager in the form Chris Wilder at the helm and a captain, Billy Sharp, who has enjoyed a very good season. So expect to see some good performances in during the league.

Popular Saudi Twitter account Hashtag KSA has tweeted Prince Abdullah as saying that they are looking into including Saudi players in the club.

Considering Prince Abdullah’s fandom of Saudi football having served as a chairman of Al Hilal FC, who knows we may actually have a Saudi player playing in the English Premier League.
