A Young Saudi Man Who Works As A Painter Is Being Honoured By Social Media For His Pride Over It
A popular Twitter news account shared a photo of a young Saudi, Meshary Abu Awila Megrahi, who is very proud of his work as a painter.
In the tweet, he says “I am not ashamed of my profession. I’m proud when my clothes get dirty for the sake of earning a living.”
People on social media have since greeted Megrahi and expressed their pride over a Saudi national with hard-working traits.

It’s refreshing to see people defying societal norms
This type of action and gratitude isn’t a common occurrence in the Gulf, where many of its nations are usually subjected to a misconception that all Khaleejis are affluent and don’t have to work minimum wage jobs for a living.
Plus, this truly shows that Saudis are more than capable to take on jobs that had usually been given to expatriate workers and that they, too, are hard workers.
And people seem to agree with his sentiment…
“Good job!”
