The World’s Biggest Desert That Stretches Through Saudi Suddenly Has Plenty Of Lakes In It For the First Time In Decades

Avatar

The cyclone that hit Oman and Yemen recently has also made some serious impacts on the world’s largest desert.

Cylone Mekunu has turned parts of Rub’ Al-Khali (or the Empty Quarters) desert into freshwater lakes

This is an extremely rare phenomenon that has not happened in nearly 20 years.

The Empty Quarters is the world’s largest area of continuous sand and covers a quartr of the Kingdom

The lakes are especially going to benefit its residents who rely heavily on camels.

People expect the plants to grow from the rain to feed their camels for the coming two years!
