Here’s How To Get An Umrah Permit Issued For Your Dependants
After booking an Umrah permit for myself using the Eatmarna app, I tried getting the permit issued for my wife, who is listed as a dependant on my Absher account. However, I wasn’t able to as it kept giving me an error message.
After scourging the web and calling the helpline numbers, my wife and I finally figured out the way to get the Umrah permit issued for her. The process comprises of three main steps and here they are:
1) Register The Dependant’s Mobile Number For Use On The Tawakkalna App Using Absher
Log onto your Absher account, under the “services” section you’ll find an option titled “General Services”. Click on it and then click on “Register a Mobile Number for Tawakkalna”.
Click “Next” and then enter the dependant’s details followed by which an OTP will be sent to the dependant’s mobile number. Enter the OTP and you’re done with the first step towards getting an Umrah permit for a dependant.
2) Register On The Tawakkalna App
This is a pretty simple process, just download the app from the App or Play Store and click “Sign Up”. Enter the details of the dependant and click on “Register”. That’s it – step 2 of getting an Umrah Permit for your dependant is done.
3) Book Permit On The Eatmarna App
Download the Eatmarna App (at the moment of writing this article the app was only available the App Store). Sign up with your dependant’s details on the app under the “Citizen/Resident” heading. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number; enter the OTP and click “Verify”.
Under the “Services” tab on the Eatmarna app click on Umrah Permit following which you’ll be presented with a calendar to choose your date. Select the date, time slot, and assembly point. Some assembly points do have an extra charge for bus transportation but most assembly points listed are free.
Once you’ve done that tick the “Obligation to see the instructions” checkbox and click continue. Your permit will be issued and you’ll be taken to a screen where you’ll be able to see your permit. Keep a screenshot of the permit handy and arrive at the assembly point of your choosing at least 30 minutes before your scheduled time.
