The Oceanic series of triathlons started a couple of years ago with only one hundred or so participants, but it’s popularity has grown. 

There are now three events this season, the first taking place on the 6th of October. The Short Course (800m swim, 30km bike and 7km run) and a Super Sprint Course (375m swim, 12km bike and 2.5km run). You can sign up on hopa sports, but hurry registration closes on the 1st of October. The next events are 

• Series 2 – Fri. 23 Feb 2018
• Series 3 – Fri. 20 Apr 2018

It starts at 6:15am, so it would be an early start to make the two hour car journey down to Khorfakkan.
