The 13th edition of the Sharjah Light Festival (SLF) is set to kick off tomorrow evening, under the patronage of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah. Organized by the SCTDA, the 12-day festival, running until February 18th, will feature captivating light shows inspired by UAE’s culture, history, and nature. The festival will utilize advanced, energy-efficient lighting technologies and invite the public to enjoy the light performances daily from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, extending until midnight on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Over 15 international artists will showcase immersive light displays at 12 prominent destinations across the emirate, including three new locations this year: Sharjah Police Headquarters, General Souq – Al Hamriyah, and Kalba Waterfront. Other highlights include Khalid Lagoon, Al Majaz Waterfront, BEEAH Group Headquarters, Al Dhaid Fort, Sharjah Mosque, Sheikh Rashid Al Qasimi Mosque, Al Noor Mosque, and Al Rafisah Dam. Additionally, the Sharjah Light Festival ‘Light Village’ in front of the University City Hall building has been hosting numerous small and medium-sized projects since February 1st, marking the beginning of this year’s festivities.
