Under federal law, the penalties for these violations are significant. Drivers caught using their mobile phones while driving will face an AED 800 fine along with four black points on their driving record. Meanwhile, those found not wearing their seatbelt will incur a fine of AED 400 and also receive four black points.

The implementation of this smart system reflects Ajman’s commitment to improving road safety and enforcing traffic regulations effectively. As the launch date approaches, authorities are urging drivers to remain vigilant and adhere to safety measures to ensure the well-being of themselves and others on the road.
