Ajman Police Arrested A Suspect One Minute After He Committed A Murder

In a swift and commendable action, the Ajman Police General Command successfully apprehended an individual merely one minute after he committed a murder in the Al Rawda area in Ajman

The incident occurred when the assailant aggressively pounded on the door of another individual, prompting concerned witnesses to alert the authorities.

Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed bin Yafour Al Ghafli, Deputy Director of the Criminal and Investigation Department at Ajman Police, confirmed that the police received an urgent report through the Operations Room, leading to the immediate dispatch of a first responder patrol. The officers arrived at the scene within a minute, catching the perpetrator red-handed as he exited the victim’s room after the brutal assault that claimed a life.

Upon questioning, the culprit confessed to the crime, revealing that it stemmed from deep-seated family disputes from their home country

He had employed a knife in the attack and attempted to flee, but the police’s swift action prevented his escape. The case has been referred to the Ajman Prosecution for further legal proceedings.

Lt Col Al Ghafli took the opportunity to commend the first responder patrol officers for their exceptional speed and effectiveness in making the arrest, highlighting the critical role of immediate response in such incidents.

He urged the public not to hesitate in reporting any suspicious activities or potential criminal actions. He emphasised that the Ajman Police are unwavering in their commitment to safeguarding the nation’s security and the well-being of its citizens and residents, and they will act decisively against any threats to that security.
