An AED200K Scriptwriting Grant Is Open To All UAE Residents
Filmmakers no longer need a ton of money and equipment to make a film – they just need a good phone, talented actors, and a great story. It all starts with the script anyway, so as long as the script is perfect, the movie will succeed.
At least that’s how many hotshot filmmakers rose to fame. The Sharjah Art Foundation is always giving the chance to talents to make their mark on this world with their talents. This is why the foundation brought back the Sharjah Film Platform grant back for a 4th season.

The Sharjah Film Platform grant is giving the winner AED200,000 to turn their script into a feature film
Participants must be UAE residents, they must write the script themselves and it must be in Arabic. They must also appoint a director to help create the film. If they want to enter as a scriptwriter and director, they must have previously directed a short or feature film.
The script should be translated by a third party and it should be at least 75 pages long.
To apply, please send an email with your Arabic submission materials and the director’s previous work to pitchingforum@sharjahart.org no later than 11:59 pm (UAE time), September 5, 2022.
