5. Sheikha Bodour is the first Arab woman and the second woman ever to preside over the International Publishers Association (IPA)

She is the second woman in IPA’s 125 years to assume the presidency, with another female executive as VP, which is itself a groundbreaking change!

4. She is the Founder and CEO of Kalimat Publishing Group

Kalimat Publishing Group is the region’s first publishing house dedicated to the production of quality original Arabic children’s titles. She was not able to find interesting books in Arabic so she decided to take it upon herself.
