Hybrid Learning Has Been Implemented At UoS For Students Who Work

Farah Makhlouf

Many university students opt to work and study simultaneously either to support themselves and their families or to gain more work experience before graduating. Both situations are very important and common nowadays. And because it’s hard for students to work and attend classes at the same time, the Ruler of Sharjah made a decision to make it a bit easier!

HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah ordered the implementation of hybrid learning for UoS students who also work

That’s right! The University of Sharjah now has the option of remote learning for students who work

Under the new scheme, students must attend classes in person one day a week for each course, instead of 3 days a week. The following 2 days can be completed online.

His Highness announced this decision on a phone call on The Direct Line. He said he sympathises with students who work and are unable to attend university regularly and consistently.

Students can only take advantage of this new scheme provided they show evidence of their circumstances to work and that they are unable to take leave from work.
