This is the first of its kind in Dubai, wherein a marine transit service would operate between Dubai and another Emirate.
Additionally, approximately 42 journeys are expected to take place daily- possibly making this an alternative method for frequent commuters between the two Emirates.
The ferry service launch is part of @rta_dubai plan to improve marine transportation services and ease people mobility between the two emirates. The new line has a capacity to serve 1.3m riders per year and is subject to increase if needed. #Dubai pic.twitter.com/oagntSybZ2
