Something very exciting is finally established in Sharjah and very soon residents can visit it and gain some powerful knowledge.

HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah issued an Emiri decree to establish the House of Manuscripts in the emirate

HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan paid the House of Manuscripts a visit today to see its vast collection of rare documents

His Highness said that the House of Manuscripts will be open to everyone, and everything it requires will be taken care of in terms of scientific material and funding so that it will be one of the institutions curated for spreading knowledge across Sharjah.

His Highness also extended thanks and appreciation to Al Qasimia University for its great efforts in the field of manuscripts, and to the Sharjah Islamic Bank for the collection of rare manuscripts donated to the house

HOM aims to achieve the following:

  1. Collecting and preserving manuscripts from the Islamic and international heritage, caring for them, maintaining them, and restoring them.
  2. Providing opportunities for scholars, researchers, and those interested in reviewing, researching, and learning about intellectual, cultural, literary, and scientific content in HOM.
  3. Disseminating world heritage on the history of science and its contributions to the heritage of humanity.
