…to EIGHT minutes!
Since the new developments mean there is now a 12-kilometer traffic corridor, the drive will take less than its usual traffic.
If you drive between the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and the Sheikh Xayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Road by 64%- this means the drive will take from its usual 11 to 4.5 minutes.
CRAZY!

“The project will channel about 2,000 vehicles every hour during peak periods from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road to Emirates Road and reduce the traffic volumes on the MBZ Road by 10 per cent. This will translate into reducing the trip to the entrance of Sharjah to 12 minutes, and cutting the waiting time at the intersection of Tripoli-Algiers Streets (Al Warqaa-Mirdif) from three minutes to less than a minute,” – Mattar aal Tayer, Director-General of RTA.
