The Indian Actress Who Was Arrested In Sharjah Has Been Cleared Of All Charges
In early May, Chrisann Pereira was detained in Sharjah after police found illegal substances in her possession
She was arrested at the Sharjah airport after arriving from Mumbai with illegal drugs hidden in a trophy.
Allegedly she travelled for an audition she was told was being shot in Dubai. Her family said she was duped into carrying a trophy containing the drugs, by two men and had no knowledge of the hidden drugs.
She was detained for 25 days at Sharjah Central Jail before being released on bail, on the condition that her passport remains with the authorities until investigations were complete.
