Tragedy At Sharjah School Construction Site Leaves Two Dead And Three Injured
Two workers tragically lost their lives, and three others were injured after the roof of a school under construction in Kalba City, Sharjah, collapsed on Sunday, September 8. The incident has prompted a swift response from local authorities and an ongoing investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the collapse.

Emergency response teams were dispatched immediately after the incident was reported in the afternoon. Colonel Dr. Ali Al-Khamoudi, the Director of the Eastern Region Police Department, confirmed that the injured individuals, who are of Arab and Asian nationalities, sustained injuries ranging from mild to moderate. First aid was administered on-site before they were transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
The bodies of the two deceased workers were recovered from the scene, and all specialized teams, including the Sharjah Civil Defense Authority, Kalba Comprehensive Police Station, Crime Scene Team, National Ambulance, and Kalba City Municipality, worked diligently to secure the area and provide assistance. Colonel Al-Khamoudi emphasized that investigations are currently underway to ascertain the cause of the collapse and ensure accountability.
This tragic event highlights the importance of safety measures in construction sites, and authorities are committed to uncovering the details to prevent such incidents in the future. The community mourns the loss of the workers and extends condolences to their families during this difficult time.
