In no particular order, here are some amazing entries that have landed in our inbox so far…
Instagram user @Justjoyzie shared her first snap of the UAE, adding that this is the country that helped her dreams become a reality.
This is one of my first photo in UAE… I know it’s a long ride but UAE did not fail me. This is where all my dreams started to become reality. I am so grateful to UAE. It changed the life of of my family to become the best that we can be. We ❤️ UAE. 🇦🇪
UAE has been my home for 15 years. Got married there. My daughter was born there. She knows nothing else except her life in Dubai. My memories are too precious to even be on a photograph. It’s in our hearts. One day we will be back to the place we call home. Via @whereintheworldisnur
My favourite memory of the UAE was a spectacular roadtrip my family had when my sister and her family visited us from South Africa. They had been to the UAE many times before but this was their first stay with residents of the UAE. Their previous experiences were general tourist experiences. This time, they got to see the UAE in the spectacular way we residents see it. They enjoyed along with us our favourite spots, our favourite restaurants, our favourite hotels as well as our beautiful home in Al Ain. Our road trip took us throughout the Emirates where we discovered breathtaking sights together. This was the last visit by family before Covid and is therefore my most treasured. bibiayshakoor
I turned 50 this April and this 50 coincides with UAE’s 50th and I have lived all my 50 years in Dubai. My dad came here in 1968. I grew up here. I am from India but this is my home. I have been a witness to the dynamic growth of UAE. I feel blessed to have grown up in a place where multicultures blend, freedom within reasonable grounds is sensibly exercised, opportunities are seamless. Every city/ region has a vibe and when that is of positivity, growth, tolerance & happiness it deeply impacts its people. I have learnt from the spirit of this nation to be relentless and strive harder. I started my career in Communications right here 25 years ago, worked in the corporate world until last year and hung my boots to work for my higher purpose. Today I continue to seek knowledge & growth and facilitate/ mentor/ coach young girls & mums. My husband & I live here, my children son 23 & daughter 15 grew up here and like me this is home to them. Blessed to be celebrating my 50 with UAE’s 50 and having collected loads of memories of living here for 50 years! Via fuzywip
