An Emirati man died after being hit by a car as he stood by the side of the road in an incident that took place on Wednesday. This came ten minutes after he was involved in another accident while he waited by an ambulance. The man who was on his way to Sharjah died instantly following the second collision. Over 170 Dubai residents were killed in road accidents in 2016, a 45 per cent increase on the 2015 total. 

‘The victim who got injured in the first accident was waiting for the ambulance to come when he was hit by another car’.
