The fees freeze of last year has come to an end.

However, a new school fees framework announced by authorities in March stated only schools who maintained or improved their academic rating are permitted to raise their fees.

And following the release of the yesterday’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority’s (KHDA) annual school ratings, over 150 schools are permitted to raise their fees if they choose, however there is a cap on the amount they can do so.

How much will fees change?

The fees hike can vary between 2.07% and 4.14% depending on whether a school has maintained its rating or improved its rating and from which category. Schools who went down a rating bracket are not permitted to change their fees.
