An Emirati man from Ajman went to the police in Sharjah to correct a mistake they had made in issuing a traffic fine.
His daughter had committed the traffic violation but a mistake in recording the number plate of the vehicle meant that a different individual would of received the fine.
While on a main road she had blocked oncoming traffic in Sharjah’s Muwaileh area.
When recording the offence the licence plate of a different vehicle was recorded and so an innocent motorist was penalised with the fine.
When Ali Al Thahiry learned of his daughters traffic violation and the police mistake he was adamant to correct the small injustice.
He went to the police and ensured that they correct the mistake and, rightfully, penalise his daughter instead of an innocent person.
His honesty was applauded by the police.
