Temperatures have been averaging around the 40-45°C here in Dubai (although if we’re totally honest it feels A LOT hotter than this).
And now the Sharjah Centre for Space and Astronomy Sciences have reported that temperatures on asphalt surfaces have hit 64°C , while temperatures on dust surfaces have reached 58°C, according to a report by the Khaleej Times.
With temperatures in the region reaching record highs already this summer, this is not surprising, but with forecasters predicting August to be an even hotter month, we may as well just embrace it, it’s going to be a long summer.
