SANA, one of the region’s oldest retailers which opened its door in 1987, is closing up shop for good in August, employees are being informed.
The fashion retailer, which provides fashion to men, women and children at affordable prices is shutting all 35 outlets across the region, which means 1,000 people are now facing redundancy.
All outlets across the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia will close according to a report from Gulf News.
Despite news of a massive $54 million expansion in 2015, and ambitions to become the biggest fashion retailer in the region, the company has failed to entice a steady slow of customers. After thirty years in business, all outlets, including a store in BurJuman which opened just one month ago will close for good.
Sad! Used to frequent visit the branch in Sharjah. Half my childhood clothing was from Sana! https://t.co/m0cTZjjKsR
