48 traffic lights in Sharjah are now equipped with top-of-the-line sensors and cameras
In addition to sensors and cameras that have been placed on traffic lights, they’re also equipped with algorithms that work together to gather and analyze traffic data in real time. This kind of technology will analyze the number of vehicles at a light, eliminate congestion at an intersection and determine the length of the green light. A 30% reduction in traffic is an exceptional milestone for the heavily populated Emirate and this is just a step in the right direction!
