This retirement age and benefits for Emiratis living in Sharjah has changed.
By order of HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the age of retirement for females is now 55 years and 60 years for males.
And pensions above the retirement age will total no less than AED17,500 a month, according to new Law No. 5 of 2018. The law looks at the previous time spent in service of government, local or public bodies, according to a Khaleej Times report.
The law also includes the time spent in military service in the UAE, time spent in government services, the period of service before UAE citizenship was gained and previous service under any approved council.
