Sharjah Police Saved A Child Stuck In Rain Traffic On The Way To Chemotherapy

A terrifying situation on the roads turned into a life-saving moment. Heavy rain and post-Eid traffic brought roads between Dubai and Sharjah to a complete standstill on Monday, and among those stuck was a young cancer patient on his way to Burjeel Hospital for chemotherapy. The family was stuck in traffic for over three hours.

As time passed, the situation became critical. “Under heavy rains and the traffic of the first day of work after Eid, we were stuck on the road between Dubai and Sharjah for more than 3 hours… and my son’s blood sugar level began to drop, with time pressing in on us.”

In a moment of urgency, the father reached out to Sharjah Police

Authorities acted immediately, and an ambulance was dispatched, traffic was cleared, and the child was transferred and escorted straight to the hospital! “They didn’t leave him alone for a moment… The journey turned into a lifeline: an ambulance carrying my son, and police patrols behind my husband’s car, clearing the road all the way to the hospital door.” “A country that embraces the human being above all else”

“A scene that will never be forgotten… A country that embraces the human being above all else.” “The Emirates isn’t just a country… The Emirates is safety… humanity… a big heart that embraces both the near and the stranger.”
