On a recent visit to the Indian state of Kerala, some artists from the state performed a dance for His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
The cultural show which showcased traditional dancing from the region was hosted at Hotel Leela Raviz by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Since returning home, HH sent a cash gift to the artists: Rs12 lakh, which comes to just over AED67,000, to divide among the artists, according to the Khaleej Times.
