Two Arab Men Pretended To Be Police Officers And Assault Civilians In Sharjah But Didn’t Get Away With It

Sharjah Police has just arrested two Arab men who were pretending to be police officers after various of complaints were filed against them to authorities.

The two Arab men were not only impersonating police officers, but it was said they also assaulted their victims and stole their personal belongings. 

Nine complaints were filed to Al Gharb police station

Complaints from people all over the city left statements about how the two men were robbing them after stating they were police officers – immediately an investigation commenced as to track them down.

Police set a trap and arrested the suspects who further on went to admit to all the charges.

“We found out that the suspects were targeting people who did not have adequate knowledge about the legal procedures taken by the police or those who did not ask him for his police identity card.”

Case was taken to the Public Prosecution Department

Lieutenant Colonel, Mohammed Hassan al Shamisi, warned the public about such acts, encouraged individuals to always ask for identification, never allow officers to search them without permission from higher authorities, and never allow them to demand money – if any of the above was ever to happen, those individuals were to report them to the police immediately.
