In the last 48 hours, parts of the UAE were affected with severe rain and hail and in turn flooding due to a surface depression.
Running valleys lead to houses flooding across the emirates and families in Sharjah and Fujairah were evacuated from their homes, shelter was provided and fortunately no casualties were reported.
The unstable weather is expected to last until Monday afternoon and emergency services have been going beyond the call of duty in the mean time:
