<\/p>\nForbes released \u00a0‘The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women In 2017’ list last week and two women from the UAE made it onto the list.<\/p>\n
They are joined by women from 26 other countries, ranging in age from 27 to 91 who are all forces to be reckoned with in their field of expertise and work.<\/p>\n

Sheikha Lubna, a member of Sharjah’s ruling family, was the first woman to hold a ministerial post in the UAE in 2004.<\/p>\n
She now holds the position of Minister of Tolerance in the UAE, having previously worked as the\u00a0Minister of International Cooperation and Minister of Economy and Planning.<\/p>\n
She has spent time with the Pope, is on the board of the Dubai Autism Centre and works with the\u00a0\u201cFriends of Cancer Patients\u201d Society.<\/p>\n
A philanthropist and active advocate for women’s rights, acceptance and diversity, it’s no wonder Sheikha Lubna secured such an impressive spot on Forbes’ List.<\/p>\n
