In a significant move to support residents affected by April’s record rains, His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved Dh49,691,750 in compensation for 1,806 exceptional cases. This initiative specifically targets individuals whose homes were damaged but did not meet the usual criteria for assistance.<\/p>\n

Two months prior, the Sharjah Ruler had directed an increase in compensation to Dh50,000 for those impacted by the severe weather conditions. The Social Services Department in Sharjah has been tasked with re-evaluating cases that were initially declined for support, allowing for the newly approved exceptions.<\/p>\n
