The UAE\u00a0has successfully launched its first nanosatellite into space this week.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Nayif-1 was a project managed by\u00a0The Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) and the American University of Sharjah (AUS)\u00a0and the 1.1kg satellite was launched into orbit at 7.58am on Wednesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The nanosatellite was launched on-board a PSLV-C37 rocket, from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, India.<\/p>\n
On-board its rocket, this launch held 104 satellites, making it historically the highest number of satellites to be launched together.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Nayif-1 was the 5th satellite separated from the launch vehicle after the main payload.<\/p>\n \u201cYesterday we saw the launch of one of the most important space projects humanity has ever known, the \u2018Mars 2117 Project\u2019.
