Tourism features predominately on the stated goals of Vision 2030. While most of these projects are taking place in the western or central provinces, a new mega tourism project will take shape in the country\u2019s east \u2013 where the oil rigs are.<\/p>\n<h2>Saudi Arabia&#8217;s sovereign wealth fund, the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has developed a new tourist initiative called \u201cTHE RIG\u201d that\u2019s being touted as the first tourism destination on offshore oil platforms.<\/h2>\n<p>&#8220;THE RIG&#8221; would cover more than 150,000 square meters and offer accommodation and aquatic sporting activities, according to a release.
