If you drive a car in the UAE and didn’t know that noisy vehicles can land you in a whole lot of trouble, including a hefty fine and 12 black points, then this might serve as a good reminder to you.

Abu Dhabi police has issued AED2000 fines and 12 black points to the licenses of 626 cars alone in the first three months of this year because they were driving noisy cars.

The laws regarding the noise and emission limits of vehicles were amended last year in July, and Abu Dhabi Police has tweeted to remind you of the same.
