You read that right, you can get a AED500 fine for improper roadside parking in the capital

Abu Dhabi Police released a video to raise awareness about the dangers of improper roadside parking when experiencing car troubles. Additionally, they urge drivers not to stop on the road’s shoulders – right or left. If your vehicle can’t be moved, immediately contact the Command and Control Center at 999 for assistance to prevent serious accidents and traffic obstructions. Alternatively, if you can move your car then do so by taking the first exit and finding a proper place to park away from the road.
