Protecting harmony and values

The goal is to create a responsible, transparent, and respectful online environment that protects the UAE’s social harmony while supporting a professional and ethical media landscape.

Updated Rules:

Under the new Media Law, influencers and content creators face stricter regulations and detailed penalties, including:

  • Operating without a valid media license → AED 10,000–40,000
  • Sharing false or misleading information → Up to AED 150,000
  • Disrespecting religion, culture, or national symbols → Up to AED 1,000,000
  • Publishing content that defames or insults others → Up to AED 20,000
  • Late license renewal → AED 150 per day (capped at AED 3,000)
  • Promoting or advertising without proper approval → Up to AED 500,000
  • Engaging in unapproved activities or partnerships → AED 5,000–16,000

A safer, happier online community
