Inspections guaranteed safety for workers

Inspectors got serious, urging contractors and site managers to follow the rules closely. This meant making sure workers had plenty of cold water, the right rehydration drinks, and even artificial cooling systems. Providing shade from the sun, dedicated rest areas out of the heat and first aid stations ready for anything were also key requirements.

Plus, folks were encouraged to keep hydrating by drinking water regularly to avoid getting sick from the heat.
