These Two Dogs Were Found Abandoned In Horrific Condition In Mussafah Area

Not all heroes wear capes!

Two dogs were rescued in Abu Dhabi’s Mussafah area after a heartbreaking photo of them was shared in a Facebook group

The picture showed the dogs in terrible condition, and it quickly reached The Mussafah Dog Project, a small team of volunteers who rescue street dogs and cats in the city.

Volunteers rushed to the spot early the next morning

They found the two female dogs scared and confused, but still wagging their tails—as if they knew help had come. The dogs were friendly and gentle, and it was clear they had once been someone’s pets before being abandoned.

The rescue team took them in right away.

A vet confirmed they had been badly neglected

It happened even before they were left on the streets. Now, they will need:

  • Full health check-ups
  • Deworming and treatment for fleas
  • Vaccines
  • Medical baths and skin care
  • A safe place to stay until they are adopted!

Although The Mussafah Dog Project is run by a small group of volunteers, they are doing important work and making a big impact in Abu Dhabi.
