In a momentous development, 28 airlines are embarking on a new chapter and will operate in the state-of-the-art terminal in Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi officially announced the opening of Terminal A, commonly known as Midfield Terminal during its construction phase. Moreover, Terminal A covered 742,000 square metres and it is one of the largest airport terminals in the world.
On October 31, Etihad will perform the ceremonial flight from Terminal A. Then on November 1, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi and 15 other international airlines will commence operations at the new terminal. Starting November 9, Etihad Airways will operate 16 daily flights. Then Etihad will complete their transition to the new terminal on November 14, alongside Air Arabia Abu Dhabi and 10 other airlines. From November 14, all 28 airlines will be operational from Terminal A.
