34 Emiratis Evacuated From Florida Because Of Hurricane Idalia

Hurricane Idalia was a powerful Category 4 hurricane. It caused significant damage across parts of Florida. Moreover, the UAE Embassy in Washington evacuated 34 Emiratis from Florida on September 2.

The embassy split the 34 Emiratis into two groups

They sent 16 to Miami and 18 to Atlanta to ensure their safety away from Hurricane Idalia. Currently, it is a post-tropical cyclone. On Wednesday, August 30, Hurricane Idalia plowed into Florida’s Gulf Coast on  with strong winds, torrential rains and pounding surf. However, it then weakened and flooded southeastern Georgia.

The UAE Embassy in Washington evacuated 34 Emiratis. Moreover, the embassy released a statement urging UAE citizens to stay safe and avoid hurricane-affected areas.
