What a hero! A security guard saved a 13 year old boy’s life after he fell unconscious into a community pool in Abu Dhabi.

Purna Bahadur Gurung saved Jaber Abu Zarqa from drowning in a community swimming pool

The security guard ran to the aid of the teenage boy after his friend’s raised the concern with him. Then, Mr. Gurung pulled Jaber out of the water and discovered he had no pulse. Upon this discovery, Mr. Gurung performed CPR to save the teen boy’s life. This took place on September 30 at 10pm when no lifeguard was on duty. Jaber’s mother thanked the security guard who saved her son’s life and expressed her gratitude.

Additionally, they contacted emergency services and an ambulance arrived minutes later to transport Jaber. The ambulance took him to Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, where Jaber remained for nearly a week. That’s not all, upon Jaber’s arrival at the hospital doctor’s discovered he had an undiagnosed heart defect which required surgery.
