Abu Dhabi Police are constantly alerting the public to monitor how fast they may be driving and stick to the speed limit. The Police send out alerts in the form of Tweets, to inform them that there will be low visibility due to high winds and dust and to drive safely. They also remind drivers to avoid taking videos or using their phones while behind the wheel.

The accident occurred in the Ramah area on the Abu Dhabi road towards Al Ain. The collision was between a bus and a vehicle.
Lt. Col. Saif Naif Al Ameri, Deputy Director of the Traffic Department in Al Ain, stated that it was caused by sudden deviation, preoccupation or distraction, excessive speeding and not leaving a sufficient safety distance between vehicles.
Those who suffered medium to severe injuries were transferred to Tawam Hospital and Shakhbout Medical City. Lt. Col. Al Ameri urged drivers to abide by the traffic laws and warns of the dangers that may result from sudden deviation. He reminds drivers to also use the indicators and mirrors when changing lanes.
