Abu Dhabi Closed A Restaurant For Having Insects In The Kitchen

The health and safety of Abu Dhabi residents, citizens, and visitors, is the number 1 priority of the capital city. So, when Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety announced that inspectors closed a restaurant after discovering many health code violations, it was no surprise. The capital continuously proves how important its people’s health and safety really are.

Abu Dhabi closed a restaurant located in Al Dhafra for its continuous health violations

Inspectors closed Evergreen Vegetarian Restaurant Branch 3 in Al Dhafra on Monday. This decision took place after the restaurant received several warnings. Furthermore, the warnings consisted of being unhygienic, storing food in unclean areas, and the discovery of insects in food storage.

The authority discovered insects on the sink. Also, they found insects where kitchen utensils were kept and the restaurant did not store ready-to-serve food at safe temperatures.

The Food Safety Authority stated:

“The administrative closure decision came as a result of repeated high-risk items and the facility’s failure to implement food safety requirements.”
