According to a research note by Business Name Generator, Abu Dhabi and Dubai are among the top locations for those wishing to work remotely during the winter.

With 10.2 hours of sunshine per day between October and February, the capital of the UAE ranked highly as a location for remote workers

According to the paper, the study analysed 50 of the most populated cities in the globe, looking at factors like WiFi speed, monthly cost of living for nomads, average rental expenses, quality of life score, number of winter sunlight hours, winter temperature, and average flight time from London.

Remote employees, also referred to as “digital nomads,” conduct their business virtually from a location of their choosing. Digital nomads relocate to regions with more livable climates as winter approaches.

In an effort to draw in more visitors and residents, the UAE has recently relaxed its visa requirements.

The UAE government introduced a remote work visa in 2021, allowing workers to live in the Emirates while working for organisations situated in other nations.

The applicants for the one-year remote work visa must provide documentation proving they are employed by an entity outside the United Arab Emirates and earn $3,500 (Dh12,845) per month or its equivalent.

Singapore, Orlando, Houston, Buenos Aires, Melbourne, and Lisbon were among the other 10 cities.

The most costly cities for digital nomads were determined to be New York, Zurich, Boston, Seattle, and London.
