AED30.8 Million Road Upgrade Finished For Abu Dhabi Terminal A

Abu Dhabi City Municipality’s Infrastructure and Municipal Assets sector successfully completed a project to enhance the road leading to Abu Dhabi Airport’s new terminal on Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street. This project, costing AED30.8 million, aligns with the Municipality’s commitment to improving infrastructure and adhering to international standards.

Abu Dhabi upgraded the road towards Abu Dhabi Terminal A for AED30.8 million

The work involved replacing damaged asphalt over a 16.7-kilometer stretch and reconfiguring road markings. Additionally, they  replaced worn expansion joints using advanced materials and machinery. They repaired and repainted concrete barriers, installed missing reflectors, aligned metal barriers, and placed directional signs for Terminal A. The primary aim was to preserve infrastructure assets, ensure public safety, and maintain the city’s appearance.

Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street is a crucial route for travelers to and from Abu Dhabi. Moreover, it primarily serves as a route to the new airport terminal, providing a safe and efficient transportation option for passengers.
