BREAKING! Midfield Terminal Is Officially Opening This November
The long wait is finally over… Abu Dhabi International Airport’s Terminal A, more commonly known as Midfield Terminal, is opening this year.
You read that right! Abu Dhabi officially announced that Midfield Terminal is opening this November
Terminal A covered 742,000 square metres and it is one of the largest airport terminals in the world. Moreover, its opening will significantly increase Abu Dhabi’s passenger and cargo capacity.
When the terminal officially opens, it will accommodate up to 45 million passengers a year. Additionally, it will process 11,000 travellers every hour. Terminal A, aka Midfield Terminal, will operate 79 aircrafts at any time.

Terminal A boasts a range of interconnected biometric systems. This system invites passengers to enjoy the speed and comfort of a seamless, digitised journey from pre-travel to boarding. Moreover, Midfield Terminal will have self-service kiosks, streamlined security checkpoints, and state-of-the-art baggage handling systems.
