Dubai Braces Itself For An Oncoming Storm And Authorities Issue A ‘Take Action’ Alert

It’s boots, brollies… and ‘take action’ weather according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology.

A storm is likely to hit the UAE today, and in anticipation,  Abu Dhabi schools announced on Tuesday evening they will be closed on Wednesday. Dubai authorities are leaving it up to each individual school to make a decision.

Rain is expected to start falling on Wednesday AM and continue for most of the day

A weather report issued this morning comes with a ‘take action’ warning

The deep red ‘take action’ warning notifies residents to be extremely vigilant of the oncoming weather.

On Tuesday evening, Abu Dhabi announced its city schools would close due to unstable weather

While the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) declared it’s up to Dubai schools themselves to decide whether they will remain open or closed

Abu Dhabi has been hit with a red alert for low visibility

Residents are warned to be aware of the oncoming weather
