An Emirati Man Has Just Completed A 2000 Km Marathon From Abu Dhabi To Makkah

One Emirati man decided that he wanted to express his love for the ties between Saudi Arabia and the UAE in his own unique way.

So he decided to embark on a journey on foot from Abu Dhabi to Makkah

Dr Khalid Al-Suwaidi, an Emirati doctor, who is also an advocate for healthier lifestyles in his country decided to take on a 2, 000 km run from the Sheikh Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi to Islam’s holiest site in Makkah.

The 34-year-old began the journey at the beginning of February

He reached Makkah earlier this week

Suwaidi said that his run was a “message of love” for the leadership of the two Gulf states.

He wasl also briefly joined with the UAE Ambassador to the kingdom
