The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had arrived at the Presidential Terminal at Abu Dhabi International Airport this Friday along with his fellow delegates and was welcomed by Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority.
The Indian Prime Minister is on a two-day state visit to the UAE where he discussed India’s economic trajectory, domestic and foreign sourcing and had made the journey from India to receive the honourable ‘Order of Zayed’.
In an interview with the WAM Prime Minister Narendra Modi said,
“I sincerely complement the leadership and direction that His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed has personally provided in taking this relationship to new heights.”
The PM spoke of the Indian community in the UAE stating,
“We are immensely proud that the rich contribution of our community to building a modern, diverse and vibrant UAE are acknowledged and appreciated by the leadership of the UAE.”

The Order of Zayed is the highest possible civilian award of the UAE and it has ceremonially been awarded to the esteemed Indian premier amongst governmental bodies, Indian delegates and businessmen.
The Order of Zayed was presented to PM Modi to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of his 150th birth anniversary this year.
When asked about the Order of Zayed Prime Minister Narendra Modi said,
“It is an honour of special significance for me and my fellow 1.3 billion Indians. It commemorates the memory of a great and visionary world leader, the father of this beautiful nation, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.”
