FAB news for travellers! Masks are no longer mandatory on Etihad, Emirates and Fly Dubai Airlines.
Etihad announced that passengers can decide whether they want to wear masks on flights or not – with some exceptions
The airline announced that passengers on inbound flights to Abu Dhabi have the option between wearing masks or not. This announcement came in line with the latest COVID-19 updates announced on September 26.
However, passengers flighting out of Abu Dhabi to the following countries have to wear a mask on the flight:
- South Korea
- And Canada – until Friday, September 30
Canada will lift the mask mandate on flights this Friday, September 30. While the other countries requirements still stand.
It’s nice to see your smile.
We’ve relaxed our rules around masks on board. You’ll only need to wear a mask if you’re flying to China, India and other select destinations.
